Role Summary/Purpose:
- The Operations Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain a service plant and the employees of the plant

- Provide leadership by driving 5S housekeeping, health & safety framework score improvement, training completion, audit item closure, and "Top 5" list completion

- Drive on-time shipments to 95%+ and inventory to meet goals

- Lead cost out deck execution to deliver plant cost/hour goals

- Promote the use of Six Sigma methodology in driving plant quality improvements

- Utilize, lead, and support Lean manufacturing action workouts to reduce cycle times and inventory levels

- Develop the plant budget and control spending to budget levels.

- Execute capital investment plans.

- Develop and execute an effective communication plan for the facility

- Responsible for scheduling and control all productive resources and indirect production area, as well as monitoring the compliance deadlines of activities that refer to previous steps and supplier items.

- Responsible for managing resources of the industrial engineering, ensuring production check list availability for all shop floor activities.

- Ensure that production activities are carried out in accordance with the deadlines established, respecting the GE technical specifications and customer quality requirements.

- Ensure continuous improvement initiatives are identified, implemented and results tracked.

- Responsible for the preparation of annual budgets, investment and control expenditure.

- Manage all aspects related to people such as training, promotions, pay, conflicts and communication

- Ensure the utilization of productive resources required to absorb costs; minimizing the recurrence of unproductiveness.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college

- At least 10 additional years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering position

- At least 5 years' experience in manufacturing management

- MBA in engineering

- EHS commitment is essential

- Planning experience preferred

- Advanced English

- 10 years of experience with engineering projects within a plant environment (industrial, utilities or energy).

Role Summary/Purpose: Responsible for the overall control and asset management of the global reel fleet. The position will require an understanding of logistics, forecasting and maintenance amongst others which will lead to the development, creation and overall management of new data capture systems. They will also liaise with commercial, projects and planning to ensure that plant capacity is achieved in both manufacturing facilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Adherence to the Company's EHS policies and performance and drive high standards of EHS compliance in respect of reel handling and general use

- Compliance with all other relevant policies

- Driving a relentless focus on quality and improvement systems

- Responsible, along with the chief engineers office, for identifying and delivering improvements to existing equipment and improve productivity across all areas globally in line with Lean Manufacturing Best Practice Principles; reducing all costs related to reels, cradles & ancillaries.

- Effective management of capital expenditure and maintenance of global reel fleet and ancillaries including overseeing capital equipment selections and all associated documentation is on time and to budget

- Responsible for training of employees, planning assigning and directing work

- Facilitate and co-ordinate cross functional teams to achieve the end goal in line with KPI's

- Actively participate on a technical level at meetings including project risk assessments, kick off meetings

- Effective, professional liaison between both internal and external customers and suppliers

- In collaboration with other departments and Chief Engineers Office, create and implement a best-in-class methodology

- Have a strict control over relevant budgets

- Develop, monitor and report performance against KPI's

- Implementing effective risk management

- Support Lean Manufacturing Improvement activities through resources and participation

- Responsible for preparation and submission of annual CapEx budgets for reels, saddle and ancillaries

- Implement and police high standards of service and maintenance globally

- Implement a full tracking system of all the reels within the fleet, exploring GPS tracking options
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Ability to work with reel designers, Chief Engineers Office and third party Inspection companies, fabrication companies and service teams and add practical improvements to new and current designs to aid production, shipping and reel lifespan

- A proven track record in project management and leadership

- Change management awareness and flexibility

- Ability to communicate and effectively present information to all levels both internally and externally

- Has the ability to effectively monitor and adhere to strict budget controls

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) - Strong analytical and interpersonal skills;
