The Regional Sales Manager will develop the Marine Service business within the allocated territory. Through implementing initiatives to increase sales that support the Company's strategic market goals.
Acting and maintaining a strong relationship with the Company's Market Leaders and supporting the business strategy to build the associated market segment.

Essential Responsibilities:

Initiating contacts, visits and developing the relationships at all relevant levels with major Marine or Offshore owners and operators;
Develops and establishes the business marketing strategy as it relates to their allocated market, in conjunction with the other Regional Sales Managers;
Plans and organizes the sales approach to assure the most effective development of sales opportunities from the installed base to meet sales targets;
Presents and positions the Company and offerings in order to be included on the approved and preferred supplier list;
Responds to inquiries from potential customers with an interest in the Company;
Develop and lead the bidding strategy. Coordinates tender and bid activities with other units as required;
Develops proposal strategies for selling spare parts, service contracts, training and upgrades to owners and operators;
Takes the proposals from the Comm Ops team and presents them to customers. Negotiate the offer and close the deal;
Maintains contact with trade associations to promote the Company's products, systems and services;
Liaise with the other Regional Sales Managers to create an effective global sales network;
Other duties may be assigned by management to meet business needs..
Competências e experiências desejadas

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology or related field;
Proven Marine, Oil and Gas experience in a commercial selling role. Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, drives, and automation systems;
Ability to travel to overseas destinations on short notice and for short periods as the role demands;
Desired Characteristics;
Must have the ability to establish and maintain long-term relationships with vessel owners and operators.

To commercially (and technically where appropriate) act as single point of operational contact for after-sales activity to a specified fleet of offshore vessels with Converteam equipment.
To be responsible for the tendering, sale and commercial management of customer enquiries for after sales service and small upgrades.

Essential Responsibilities:

- The candidate will be involved in Sales, Tendering and Contract Management : SALES

- Maximise the number of present and potential customers, protect the market share of the Offshore business and the Company, in accordance with Offshore business strategy

- Liaise with customers to identify their requirements

- Keep customers informed of the progress or sales enquiries from initial contact to tender offer

- Heighten customer awareness of the activities of the Offshore Service business in the UK and globally

- Participate in Offshore Service and Offshore Business promotions of the Company

- Be aware of the Companys competition and seek to maximise opportunities by offering customers a better service and solution to their needs

- Proactively approach the installed base, based on the Offshore business growth plans, to sell current and new services offered by Offshore service

TENDERING

- Produce tenders for after-sales activities

- Minimise tendering effort by utilising established routines

- Ensure customer needs can be met

- As appropriate, liaise with management/project engineers / other departments to obtain technical, contractual and financial solutions.

- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors and obtain the best solution at a competitive cost

- Produce tender estimates needed to support submissions

- Prepare tender offers in accordance with procedures and complete proposals to customers

- Follow up tender offers (working with field sales staff as appropriate) within reasonable timescales to obtain an order

CONTRACT HANDLING - GENERAL

- Set up contracts

- Establish extent of the contracts and the reviews required

- As appropriate, liaise with management/project engineers/other departments on technical, contractual and financial matters

- Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors and other businesses involved, including placing orders with suppliers/subcontractors

- Organise payment of subcontractors and suppliers

- As appropriate, attend review meetings with customer / suppliers

- Produce project reviews at the required time as per company instructions

- Bill the customer as appropriate and take responsibility for receipt of payment from the customer at the earliest opportunity

- Ensure that sales trading is competed as appropriate

- Introduce customers to the Offshore Service organisation and maximise the opportunity to cross sell other services eg service contracts, training and spares

SERVICE CONTRACTS

- Manage all day to day reporting, resourcing, and planning activities from service contract customers

HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES

- The candidate will be given H&S training appropriate to the environment in which they are working.

Qualifications/Requirements:
