Responsible for the overall planning, direction, leadership, control and administration of all areas of manufacturing operations and associated functions in our facility in Santa Rosa de Viterbo, countryside of Sao Paulo State, Brazil.

The facility produces Citric Acid and Citric Salts 365 days/year. Operating on a 24x7 basis, it has a workforce of employees (production and staff) and contractors to support the operations.

The Plant Manager reports to the Director of Global Manufacturing, Acidulants in the United States, and will be in charge of group of 4-5 direct reports in the facility.

Will be responsible for leading the communication and support of the Mission, Vision and Values of the Company including but not limited to the areas of Safety, Quality, Environmental, Cost and Production.

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned)

- The Safety and Environmental performance, compliance, objectives, etc. of the manufacturing site.
- Responsible for Quality and ISO Certifications
- Manages a workforce of employees and contractors.
- Is responsible for the organizational development of direct reports and maintains succession plan for key employees
- Manages quality, cost, production, process improvement, and capital projects.
- Tracks and controls variable and fixed costs, yields, production data, and quality metrics to meet objectives.
- Drives process improvement
- Identify cost savings opportunities and deliver to them
- Champions ownership and accountability in the location
- Plans and prepares capital plans and initiates capital projects.
- Coordinates the interactions with internal departments of T&L, i.e. accounting, purchasing, etc. as well as outside entities, i.e. audit groups, government agencies, etc., in regards to the plant operations and site services.
- Works closely with US colleagues to foster team building and learning in benchmarking and best practice activities

Qualifications:

- Has a proven record of managing a safety focused organization.
- BS in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred
- A minimum of 7-10 years leading a manufacturing teams in larger plants
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and technical skills.
- Must be a self-motivated, positive thinking, creative, and a team player.
- Proven problem solving skills
- Fluent in English and Portuguese

The professional must come from the same industry and have at least between 5 to 10 years' experience as Plant Manager (or similar).
Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities of plant or multiple plant operations. This position will develop and execute plans to ensure that plant operations meet all goals and objectives as identified in conjunction with headquarters executive management team as key performance indicators, such as, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, and Moral.
Position will develop and empower a cross functional team that can achieve the goals and objectives of the plant operation to generate operating profit while providing an acceptable quality product.
1. Establish and control the Vision, Action Plans, Resource Plans, and Financial Operating Budget for the Plant(s) assigned. This includes approval and submission of the Plants' annual expense, capital, and manpower plan to support the Headquarters Business Plan. Position will monitor and make adjustments as necessary to meet goals / objectives in order to improve profitability and reduce cost. Provide status and countermeasures as needed.
2. Facilitate daily production meetings (Quality, Materials, Production, Mfg Engineering, and Human Resources) in order to coordinate activities and review, assign, and resolve issues.
3. Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly reports to communicate the status of the plant and the plans for improving each area as needed. Reports include Daily Scorecard, COP, Plant Manager's Report, CIP's, etc…
4. Coordinate the development and execution plan of fiscal year Key Performance Indicators (goals and objectives) for assigned plant. Position will also oversee and direct the activities of the plant to ensure these goals and objectives are met or exceeded. Improvement activities include, but are not limited to, VSM, 3P, V-Up, V-Fast, V-Camp, and other Kaizen activities.
5. Accountable for all areas of manufacturing plant's performance including productivity, OEE, overtime, quality, 5S, etc…
6. Responsible for all Plant's inventory control items including the availability of parts when needed, reducing inventory, controlling inventory loss, improving inventory accuracy, controlling expedite cost, etc…

Summary: Manages field sales team members. Represents, communicates and executes on specific sales strategies. Manages a given territory through a team of Account Managers.

Responsibilities:

- Directs the efforts of others in the achievement of the strategic and operational objectives of the group.
- Provides direction, development and inspiration to team members.
- Manages the hiring, staffing and maintaining of a diverse and effective workforce.
- Responsible for career development/planning, performance and pay discussions of team members.
- Manages field sales team members in the sale of the organization's products or services to specific existing named or strategic accounts on a national geographic basis.
- Manages all direct field sales account managers, may manage indirect and overlay field services account managers.
- Responsible for quota setting at the team/individual level.
- Customarily and regularly engaged at client facilities.
- Responsible for organizing cross functional teams' engagement with account.

Qualifications

Leadership:
Leads a team of leaders responsible for carrying out the objectives of the department or work area.
- Leads teams in understanding the link between Dell objectives and their contributions.
- Develops budgets, schedules and performance requirements.
Builds long-term development and succession plans.
Applies influence and negotiation skills to drive business results.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders both internal and external.
- Serves as important liaison to external contacts (customers and vendors).
Assumes responsibility for sales objectives
