Mission:
The Cluster VTM is responsible for leading the overall project management and the delivery of the technology required to support the operation of some venues (cluster). This includes systems, telecoms, results and audio/video components. The Cluster VTM works closely with other functional areas in the venue to ensure the services required by Technology, (for example, technology spaces, power and cooling) are captured and delivered as required .

Background and job purpose:
Technology is critical to the success of the Games. It underpins most Functional Areas in all aspects of the Games operation: from field- of- play to back-of-house in all venues..
The role-holder will work across a small number of competition or non-competition venues and underneath the Venue Technology Services Manager.
This role may therefore include operationally manageing several outsourced relationships. In the run up to and during Games-time, outsource partner staff will work under the operational leadership of the Cluster VTM supported by Venue Technology Managers (VTMs) in their zone area who in addition to functional reporting lines will also report to the overall Venue Manager.

Key responsabilities/accountabilities:

Cluster VTMs will initially support the delivery of Model Venue Exercise and Test Events in competition venues and planning of non-competition venues. Cluster VTM will have responsibility for more than one venue (the number will depend on the area he/she will be responsible).

During planning and delivery phases you he/she will:
• Support the technology venue planning for your specific venue(s) for Test Events, Olympic and Paralympic events.
• Liaise with other functional areas during and post venue planning to ensure their requirements for your the related venue(s) are understood and accommodated within the constraints of the project.
• Work closely with the Technology Equipment Asset team to refine equipment allocation requirements and develop the allocation, CAD layouts, management and recovery plans for each venue for Test Events, Olympic and Paralympic events.
• Work with the VTS Manager to prioritize work, develop and maintain an overall program of works for the assigned venue(s) that gives a venue specific integrated view of the delivery of all technology workstreams and partners for Test Events, Olympic Games, as appropriate transition to the Paralympic Games and post games bump out and recovery.
• Initiate and track corrective action for any slippage or change in scope of venue implementation, transition and retrofit project plans.
• Identify areas of risk and develop contingency delivery plans at your assigned venues.

For test and operational phases you he/she will;
• Ensure the technology systems are deployed and tested to meet requirements.
• Acting as the senior point of contact within the venue for escalation and resolution of technology related issues in close cooperation with the venue management team, Technology Partners, Technology Operation Centre and other venue stakeholders.

Throughout all phases you will:
• Be supportive of a tight budget and so demonstrate a rigorous design-to-cost approach that nevertheless supports effective and efficient venue operations.
• Work closely with the Technology Program Office to update the master technology plan and proactively access and manage related risks, escalating urgent issues for resolution as required.
• Be flexible to deal with changing requirements in a dynamic environment undertaking any further duties as required.

Main Purpose of Job:

The role of the IP&S Senior Manager, Brazil is to lead the Sales and Specialist team in Brazil across the three IP&S businesses – Life Sciences, Scientific & Scholarly Research and Intellectual Property. As IP&S is in a period of growth in the region, central to this role is the ability to build sales strategies, identify opportunities and close deals to generate revenue growth.

Duties and Responsibilities
• In coordination with sales team members, drive revenue growth of Brazil sales through the successful creation and implementation of cross-IP&S sales strategies and effective team management.
• Interpret local economic and market trends as they emerge and work with sales leadership to develop plans, programs, and sales initiatives that factor in the risk and opportunities presented by changing needs.
• Motivate and maintain a team of qualified and well trained sales managers and representatives adept at representing the complete line of IP&S products and services through a consultative sales approach.
• Drive expansion and business development initiatives in local market segments working in collaboration with the regional IP&S team and colleagues in global IP&S organisations.
• Drive high performance across the team, including setting overall performance objectives, expectations and standards. Lead by example.
• Ensure key metrics and performance targets are effectively managed and tracked across the team.
• Optimize communication, interaction and relationship building with internal resources, stakeholders and external customers.
• Recruit, manage, and develop employees within the team.
• Establish and maintain an environment that optimizes team and individual performance for the business.
• Effectively collaborate across matrixed functions that are shared and/or managed centrally.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
• Experience of managing sales teams and achieving high performance
• Knowledge in one or more of the IP&S businesses is preferred - Life Sciences, Scientific & Scholarly Research and Intellectual Property
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategy
• Experience with consultative selling
• Proven ability to work well in a matrix environment, collaborate across multiple departments/organizations and influence at all levels
• Adaptable, flexible, open to diverse ways of thinking and diverse cultures
• Ability to motivate, coach and mentor in a sales environment
• Must have strong presentation, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Frequent regional travel, up to 15%
Qualifications:
College degree required - (BA level) or equivalent, in one of the following areas: Medicine, Biochemistry, Chemistry or Life Science related discipline or Business Administration with strong knowledge and experience in IP&S.
Languages:

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is preferred.

Duties:

•In cooperation with FIFA ZRH and the LOC, coordination and execution of FIFA World Cup related events in Brazil including: workshops and seminars, meetings, show events, banquets, receptions, ceremonies;
•Managing specific and event related tasks such as: Meeting planning, travel, transport, offices, catering, guest management and hospitality;
•Preparation, support and ad-hoc task management in relation to competitions and special events;
•Co-ordination and preparation of site visits and other FIFA delegations travel

•Support and assistance of FIFA Competitions staff in Brazil;

Requirements:

•Professional solid experience working in event planning and management (e.g. hospitality, catering, corporate events, incentives);

•Ability to handle large workload efficiently at peak times, with excellent time-management, prioritizing well diversified workload;
•Ability to take the initiative and responsibility in projects according to the Event Team's needs
•Service oriented, with excellent communication skills, written and verbal
•Outgoing personality integer and discreet, able to be an excellent representative of FIFA in any public domain
•Flexibility to support at any level (administration, operation or concept) and in changing and sometimes challenging (working hours, stress levels, support) and evolving environments
•Excellent Team-Worker
