The priorities of this role are end to end ownership of procurement activities in the subsidiaries, to create a world-class procurement environment for all procurement related activities and to ensure the company designs and implements controls to prevent violations with its Anti-Corruption policies and procedures. This role will:

• Provide strategic leadership to create a professional and an effective procurement function that contributes to drive growth, productivity, profitability and brand enhancement by executing well defined procurement processes that are effective, measured and acted upon.
• Drive increased efficiency throughout the Area by reducing costs, risk and/or enhancing value from suppliers. As appropriate, conduct bidding and negotiations with suppliers to reduce cost and ensure an open and objective process is used to award contracts.
• Establish well executed and professional procurement processes that include strong internal controls to mitigate risks. Drive risk management & compliance (Statutory, tax, SOX, internal control etc.) of all potentially "high risk" vendors and transactions.
• Provide training and increase awareness in the organization about GPG processes to drive policy understanding and compliance. Help deter fraud, violations of the Microsoft's Anti-Corruption policies and procedures and conflicts of interest in vendor transactions.
• Demonstrate strong leadership to the finance teams, business groups and the related Corporate teams and serves as a good ambassador for company towards our vendors and customers in line with the company values.

Key accountabilities and activities:

Execute strategy:
• Drive execution of GPG strategy and priorities in the subsidiaries. Transform stakeholders into partners and generate new business opportunities.
• Partner with local leadership teams to develop Procurement Priorities that will include: project specific actions, controls improvements, and procurement actions by specific fiscal year.
• The continuous improvement of GPG's controls and best practices.

Drive savings
• Annually audit (or lead audits conducted by third party auditors) of the top 10 vendors in your area to ensure they are providing the goods and/or services for which they are contracted.
• Leverage Smart Buy and Buy Center to drive savings and increased usage of category cards to selected and approved vendor roster and price tables.
• Provide ad-hoc sourcing and negotiation support as needed to ensure objective criteria and factors are used to award work and to explicitly avoid even the perception of conflict of interest.

Professional Process and Internal Controls

• Enhance the end to end process and control framework in subsidiaries for procurement management. This includes driving structural improvements with an ultimate goal to provide more effective processes and internal controls.
• Maintain vendor records and findings in Hiperos (Risk tracking system) for all high risk vendors.
• Work to incorporate local standards of business conduct for procurement to align with company policy standards while remaining compliant with local laws and practices.
• Monitor transactions with 3PP vendors to ensure compliance to policies and standards for third party payment providers. Ensure, by audit and other analysis that non 3PP vendors are not employed to circumvent the third party payment policy.
• Review and determine disposition of "yellow" risk level vendors in your area. Support investigations and recommend disposition of "red" level risk vendors.
• Review all "high risk" PO transactions to ensure compliance and detect and stop POs from being opened to any inappropriate or potentially fraudulent or corrupt vendors.
• Drive quarterly procurement dashboard ratings up to attain world-class levels of business value and reduced supply risk.
• Understand administrative/tactical tasks in relationship to new vendor requests, system maintenance to support accurate purchase order placement (vendor classification, category mapping).

Training and awareness:

• Drive and facilitate in region training and awareness on corporate and local procurement policies and procedures.
• Ensure effective communication and understanding of the C&C framework and procurement's role in that framework.

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

• Experience in Procurement with demonstrated leadership, business partnering capabilities and controls & compliance skills.
• Procurement skills and in-depth understanding of procurement processes (sourcing, contracting, negotiation, etc.) and how these can be effectively applied to ensure an effective controls environment
• English Proficiency, verbal and written are a must.
• Experience and proven leadership skills in a controls, auditing or similar functions
• Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of internal control, compliance and financial fraud investigation programs
• Leadership skills and decision making ability in an effective management style that allows management by influence in a virtual organization in balance with direct management
• Strong external representation skills (local Tax Authorities, independent auditors, lawyers, customers and partners)

Objective of Position:

This individual will be required to strongly engage with local Finance and Accounting (F&A) and various other local business stakeholders to develop and execute a portfolio of procurement initiatives to deliver cost efficiency opportunities. This individual is expected to achieve measurable improvements in cost, quality, service, and vendor performance across all major categories (Marketing, Professional Services and Technology) by leveraging, when possible Global Strategies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is to effectively collaborate with local stakeholders for sourcing projects. The methodology is to analyze spend and identify opportunities, utilize supplier sourcing, develop contracts, conduct negotiations, and perform supplier management. This position will research cost saving opportunities in several areas and coordinate with stakeholders to arrive at the most beneficial Procurement strategy. This individual will engage and coordinate with Global Category Teams to ensure participation and compliance with category strategies and, if required, connect with the International Operations team and drive procurement programs, policies, standards, and best-practices. Preparation of annual sourcing project planning, reporting and business reviews are also primary responsibilities.

Key Accountabilities and Activities:

Sourcing
1. Provide Procurement support and expertise to the subsidiary. This support includes: planning, analysis, category management, negotiations, sourcing, vendor management, and process support in close collaboration with local stakeholders.
2. Monitor and report performance of key suppliers. Provide feedback to suppliers using formal review procedures and ensure that supplier performance issues are quickly addressed.
3. Assist the Procurement Business Partner in proactively perform account management by identifying, planning and implementing Procurement Projects or Contracts.
Operational
4. Manage day-to-day procurement activities, responding to procurement needs on a timely basis:
• First point of contact for Buy Centre and General Procurement Support for Internal Customer base. Responding to questions, escalations and resolve Buy center queries.
• Monitor and coordinate with stakeholders to make sure that existing contracts are appropriately archived and renewed in a timely basis.
• Review all new supplier requests and its categorization, always challenging the need to for new suppliers.
5. Deliver "world class" service to the internal subsidiary Procurement customer base. Execute the necessary transactions consistent with regional standards, policies and processes.
Stakeholders
6. Work with F&A and all other business stakeholders to ensure that mutual needs and plans are understood and are being adequately addressed. Escalate issues to Procurement Management, or other Procurement related resources as appropriate.
7. Understand customer business drivers. Assess complex situations and propose alternative solutions. Behave as a partner and problem-solver who contributes to the future development of customer's success.
8. Establish a sustainable executive business engagement based on facts, influence, expectation setting and results.
Reporting
9. Prepare regular procurement reports that track progress against agreed upon initiatives, benefits, savings, issues resolution and Procurement service levels.

Understand and ensure compliance with the Sensient Color Group accounting practices and policies. Knowledgeable regarding local accounting requirements as well as U.S. GAAP.
Ensure that timely and accurate reporting and forecasting occurs in compliance with Sensient Color Group requirements.
Serve as a key member of the business unit management team.
Provide effective financial and business unit analysis to support decision-making within the business unit.
Understand, implement and maintain standard costing practices, which are aligned with Sensient Color group methodology.
Direct the preparation of the annual business plan at the business unit level, ensuring that it effectively rolls-up to the Color group level.
Manage and direct the relevant finance/accounting staff and other staff within the Business Unit as assigned.
Correct and update standards when necessary. Provide Colors US manufacturing and Tech manufacturing with financial data as needed.
Perform monthly review of Inventory Reserve. Work with members of manufacturing and QC to ensure adequacy of provision.
Provide financial oversight to St Louis warehousing operations and assist in administration and financial review of Cycle Count Program.
Review monthly Account Receivables for St Louis based business units with Credit Manager. Identify accounts for targeted collection efforts. Manage Allowance for Doubtful Accounts and ensure adequacy of provision.
Develop, approve and monitor local accounting controls.

5-10 years experience in a finance/accounting role. Extensive involvement in budgeting, forecasting, month end reporting and inventory valuation.

Highly effective in working with the business unit management team in driving business growth and profitability.
Strong understanding/use of business systems; effective regarding system implementation and optimizing system performance.
Bachelor's Degree or four (4) year equivalent in accounting.

Computer literate and functional in the use of integrated business systems.
Seasoned experience regarding the month end close process.
Effective in both verbal and written communication, including effective analysis of business results/forecasts.
