Job Purpose: The ideal candidate for this role will need to have a strong background in Brazil tax matters, indirect taxes (PIS& COFINS, ISS, ICMS, etc.) and income taxes, and fluency in Portuguese and English. This position is based in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the local business to provide advise on corporate income tax and indirect taxes to minimize risk and maximize opportunities;
• Monitor tax compliance processes with external and internal providers in Brazil and provide oversight and management over the corporate income tax and indirect taxes;
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies including legal entity structures and similar matters;

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm, law firm and/or large multinational business.
• Relevant university degree; professional certification in law or accounting a plus.
• Proven experience and knowledge in Brazil tax regulations, laws and standards.
• Experience and understanding of transfer pricing concepts and documentation requirements
• Experience with cross border planning, rulings, tax treaties, withholding taxes and tax audits a plus.
• Solid accounting skills along with working knowledge and experience in US GAAP and tax accounting.

Position Overview
The primary responsibilities of this role is to support and co-direct FIFA 2013 Confederations Cup (FCC) /FIFA 2014 World Cup (FWC)/Rio 2016 Olympics hospitality projects through applied subject matter expertise and extensive prior experience with respect to:

Planning and fulfillment of hospitality operations within FWC and/or Olympic environment(s).
Including creation of customized program content
Highly detailed logistics management of complex, multi-city, venue hosting programs.

Additional Information and Qualifications
Duties will evolve based on the timeframe of a project/opportunity.
